living at intersections
:)
I care about equitable and entrepreneurial uses of technology, especially in the realms of cities, media, and culture. To me, code is nothing without the humans and physical world it touches.
I naturally gravitate towards cross-functional (and chaotic) settings where I get to be at the intersection of coding, product, and customer deployment.
Currently, I work at Merge, building unified APIs and agentic tooling. I've previously worked at Uber and New_ Public. I'm deeply curious about early-stage ventures and have been a fellow with Comma Capital and Kleiner Perkins.
I spend an absurd amount of time listening to, discovering, and curating music (everything from jazz to rock). Music is everywhere — in city streets, films, and how we connect with each other. It is my greatest love in the world!
My long-term goal is to build something at the intersection of music and technology. I am most energized when independent musicians create bold art and architect new worlds.
My writing process feels like sculpting: I start with an amorphous mass and make something meaningful out of it.
I journal and write regularly about my own life — the recurring themes tend to be creativity, relationships, and seasons. I also like to write public-facing essays that break down interdisciplinary complexities that I am learning about.
I grew up daydreaming and writing fiction (poems and short stories). This is a passion I am rediscovering.

Given that I grew up in the suburbs, it might be a bit surprising that I love dense cities. I've always been intrigued by how cities reveal so much about people, systems, and culture. When I was growing up, my dream job was to be a mechanical engineer who worked on smart cities and sustainable development… maybe I still can be?
My favorite cities include New York City, Taipei, and Berlin!
23 y/o, NYC-based human
I'm a Midwesterner at heart — I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. My parents immigrated from Taiwan. For my undergraduate education, I studied Computer Science and Urban Studies at Princeton University, and I spent a semester abroad at the University of Edinburgh. Since then, I have traveled around Europe, Africa, and Asia, with many more countries to come! I am currently based in New York City.
I love to try new things and spending time in nature ("frolicking"). Beyond NYC's limited parks, you may find me in its coffeeshops, live music venues, and climbing gyms. I find joy in all the things — music, comedy, film photography / people-watching / cloud-watching, chai lattes, wandering conversations, collaborative projects, and more.
